Yes, I'm still alive.
Kelly Posted on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 1:34 PM First, I'm a little embarrassed about how much time has passed since my last post. I have no excuse, other than, you know, I'VE BEEN BUSY GROWING A HUMAN INSIDE OF ME.
Ok, not a real excuse. At this point I feel like my two options are to lose the blog or recommit myself to posting every other day.
I'm going to try. Really I am.
With my last pregnancy, I made it 18 weeks. I'm 15 weeks right now. I've been holding my breath for 15 weeks, and when I get past 18, when I make it past Christmas, I will breathe again.
But for now, I'm holding my breath.
Have you ever held your breath for a really long time? When you hold your breath, it's incredibly hard to concentrate. It's almost impossible to think about anything else besides when can I breathe again?
So even with all this waiting and praying, I'm doing surprisingly well. I've actually been feeling great lately. I think some of that has to do with my co-worker, the Spray Butter Bandit, going on vacation for two weeks. Ah, what a glorious two weeks. I've never been more happy to come to work.
(I had all this stuff I wanted to write about driving home from work yesterday, but now I can't remember any of it. And it was damn funny, too. Again, holding my breath. I blame the lack of oxygen).
15 Week Update:
Belly: Getting BIGGER. Photos coming soon. I'm at that stage where my normal clothes don't really fit, but most maternity stuff is too big. The BellaBand is my best friend.
Gender: ????? I made a pouty face at my last appointment so that Dr. GB would let me come back in 2 weeks rather than wait a WHOLE FOUR WEEKS. Hopefully we will know then. My guess is a girl.
Emotions: Good. Remember how you felt the first time you fell in love? That's how I feel everyday. Feels pretty fantastic.
Tip of the Week: You may want a $650 Coach diaper bag. You may present this request to your husband and father, who supposedly love you. They may compare it to wrapping a dirty diaper in $650. When this happens, conjure up some tears, wait an hour, then show them this Ah-mazing Juicy bag. It's HALF THE PRICE. How could they say no? More than half of $650? That's practically free.
Husband says: After complaining to him how tired I am, he says "That's okay babe, remember, you're sleeping for two now."
That made me laugh and think what the hell...? all at the same time.

Yay! You're back, I've been thinking about you and hoping the pregnancy was going good. Not in some weird blog stalker kind of way though... ;) Sounds like you are feeling pretty good too, keep up the good work growing that human!

Well you may not have been posting, but I prayed for you and spent time wondering how you are. I can hold my breath a really long time so if you want I'll do it for you. Can't wait to hear if it's a boy or girl! Oh so fun.

I'm glad you're back and feeling well! I will be holding my breath with you :) I had a Coach diaper bag, and while it didn't get poop on it, it's pretty beat up! So I would recommend getting the cheaper, but just as lovely, Juicy bag. Your husband sounds like a great guy.
Ok, here's the deal. Tonight, I'll pray, you breath and sleep! You can hold your breath again tomorrow!
Oh, I remember those feelings of happiness mixed with complete freaking out worry and not breathing. And I did both over the holidays as well, I know how tired things can get. We'll all understand if you take a little breather from the blog here and there, lol!!! Boy or girl - I can't wait to know, either! And names, as you narrow them down!
It's the holidays and you're pregnant. You don't really need any other excuse why you're not blogging. With that said, I think the New Year will be extra exciting for you this year ... I mean, you'll be able to breathe and everything again. Thinking of you... and hoping for the best!

girl i will reach through this computer and slap the white off u if u get that diaper bag.....that's 20 cans of formula....14 mega packs of diapers.....335 double packs of baby food.....don't even THINK about buying that bag!!!!

I think growing another human being inside of you is totally a valid excuse.
It's nice to hear from you. Keep us posted even if it isn't every other day. You could post once a week and that would be fine.

Hey, 4 weeks isn't too bad! I'm 14 weeks. I will probably have to wait 7 more weeks before I find out about my baby. Sorry the pouty face didn't work.
