Worry Hormones

Last night I couldn't sleep. I've been sick this week, and the whole day all I thought about was getting into bed and sleeping. But when the time came, I just couldn't. So at 10:30 pm I did what any other normal messed up person does, I started thinking about work. Thinking turned to worry and worry turned to crying.

Husband finally turned to me and said "Calm down, your Worry Hormones are going to upset the baby!"

I have no idea what Worry Hormones are, but that sounds about right.

In addition to The Sick and Worry Hormones, I also have a Yogurt Curse. Twice in a row, at two different grocery stores, I've (accidentally) bought expired yogurt. The first time, a few weeks ago, I had serious morning sickness and decided it could only be cured by Rachel's Plum Honey Lavender yogurt.

I got home from HEB, opened the container and thought This just doesn't look right... Sure enough, it had expired in November. NOVEMBER!

Needless to say, HEB and I were in a HUGE fight. I was all, What the Hell HEB?! And HEB was all Uh, sorry? Here's a $5 gift card. Then I was all, NO! I'm pregnant! And pissed! And I. WANT. YOGURT.

But then I remembered that HEB makes super delicious tamales, so we're friends again. This week it all happened again at a whole other grocery store. I understand food going bad- I have a jar of pickles in my fridge from May 2007. But seriously, what the heck grocery stores?!

So my point is, between The Sick and Worry Hormones and a Yogurt Curse, I don't feel like writing anything. Instead, I'll answer a few questions from the lovely Katie @ My Story Is Not Over.

When is your little boy expected to make his entrance into the world outside of you?

May 27th, 2010! I'm thinking it will be sooner, but hopefully not too soon. I feel like the last 20 weeks have gone by somewhat fast, so I'm hoping the next 20 will too.

Have you started registering yet?

Oye... I have a wish list on Neiman Marcus. That was easy, so I started a registry on Babies R Us, but only got as far as my name and address. I find registering to be seriously overwhelming (I blame the Worry Hormones).

I'm not too into having a shower, but that feeling changes weekly. I do know Husband's work is planning a shower in April, so I guess I have to register by then.

But really, how much does an infant need? Can I just get a car seat, bassinet, some onesies, diapers and worry about everything else as we go?

Do you have a name yet?

Yes... Maybe... We've narrowed it down.

I want to meet him before we decide on a name. No final decisions yet, but I really like the name Dylan/ Dillon Blake. Spelling? What's the best spelling? Help! (Blake is Husband's middle name).

Feel free to ask more questions. This is fun! It reminds me of when I was little and practiced interviews with my sisters for when we become famous.
